Josh Goot SS 11/12

After concentrating on shows off-shore the past few years, Josh Goot's return to RAFW came with plenty of pressure. The creative wunderkind has established himself as one of Australia's most innovative and directional creatives, and it's no secret the designer faced great expectations.

Unsurprisingly, Goot proved that he is a force to be reckoned with, sending out an intelligent, high-impact collection. Presented on the top floor of an old car park, an artificial dawn lit up the long runway, brightening the focal point of an otherwise darkened room. Carefully constructed and polished, Goot developed his futurist aesthetic with abstract digital prints, sculptural tailoring, bright silks and techno neoprene. Every piece made a statement; cool, sharp and spectacular.

I really loved the Josh Goot collection. Love the silhouettes and the colours against the stark white backdrops.
